Webinar: Developing Sustainable Finance Roadmaps
October 10, 2023 | 12:00pm coordinated Universal Time

The Sustainable Banking and Finance Network (SBFN) is hosting a global event on Sustainable Finance Roadmaps on October 10th, 2023 at 12:00pm Coordinated Universal Time. Click here to register.
The financial landscape is rapidly evolving, and sustainable finance is at the forefront of this transformation. According to the SBFN 2021 Global Assessment, the issuance of Sustainable Finance Frameworks has surged by over 100 percent between 2015 and 2021. Notably, national and regional Sustainable Finance Roadmaps are emerging as a preferred strategy for policymakers to align national efforts in congruence with the Sustainable Development and Paris Agreement goals.
Sustainable Finance roadmaps serve as framework to enable ESG good practice, climate and nature-related risk management, as well as the amplification of green, social, and sustainable finance flows—all while fostering financial inclusion.
To support policymakers in crafting effective roadmaps, SBFN developed the “Developing Sustainable Finance Roadmaps Toolkit.” This resource, comprising a comprehensive guide, benchmarking tool and implementation templates, is the culmination of insights from SBFN Members, expert guidance from the IFC and World Bank, and international best practices.
During the Webinar, participants will:
- Learn about how Sustainable Finance Roadmaps are a good practice for organizing the financial sector at a national or regional policy level
- Hear from SBFN Member Countries that have successfully adopted the roadmap approach
- Understand how to utilize the SBFN Sustainable Finance Roadmaps Toolkit to develop their country/regional roadmaps
