April 17, 2019 — The Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS), a group of Central Banks and Supervisors that are collaborating to share best practices and contribute to the development of environment and climate risk management in the financial sector, called for collective action and issued six recommendations in its first comprehensive report. NGFS members acknowledge that climate-related risks are a source of financial risk, and some have extended this analysis to broader environmental risks.
