April 21, 2022 — Welcome to our newest SBFN Member, Commission de Surveillance du Marché Financier de l’Afrique Centrale (COSUMAF; the Securities and Exchange Commission of Central Africa). Ambassador Nagoum Yamassoumand, COSUMAF’s President, and Mr. Alfonso Garcia Mora, Chair of SBFN and Regional Vice President of IFC, celebrated the moment at the signing ceremony during the World Bank-IMF Spring Meeting on April 21, 2022.

COSUMAF is the supervisory and control authority for the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC) financial market, including six countries: Gabon, Cameroon, the Central African Republic (CAR), Chad, the Republic of the Congo, and Equatorial Guinea.

SBFN and IFC look forward to supporting COSUMAF as it makes progress in advancing awareness, capacity, and an enabling framework for sustainable finance in CEMAC countries.
