The Mexico Banking Association (ABM) and Semarnat, both SBN members since 2016 and part of the Green Bond Working Group, have advanced sustainable finance through key documents like the Protocolo de Sustentabilidad (2016) and Green Bonds Principles MX (2018).

Bank Al-Maghrib (since 2014) and the Moroccan Capital Market Authority (since 2018) co-chair the SBN Green Bond Working Group and have led key initiatives including Roadmap for aligning the Moroccan financial sector with sustainable development (BKAM, 2016),Green Bonds Guidelines (AMMC, 2016).

Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), an SBN member since 2014 and part of the IDA Taskforce, launched its first Environmental and Social Risk Management (ESRM) Guideline for banks and financial institutions in 2018, supported by an implementation ESMS.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), an SBN member since 2012, is active in all major SBN working groups and has led key initiatives like the Nigerian Sustainable Banking Principles and Sector Guidelines (2012) and the corresponding Reporting Template (2014).

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), an SBN member since 2015 and active in the Measurement Working Group and IDA Task Force, issued Green Banking Guidelines in 2017, building on earlier CSR voluntary guidelines from 2013.

The Panama Banking Association (ABP), an SBN member since 2017, launched the Sustainable Finance Protocol in 2018, followed by Recommendations published for the implementation of the Sustainable Finance Protocol of Panama (ABP, 2018).

The Sustainable Finance Roundtable (member since 2015) and Central Bank of Paraguay (since 2016) have advanced sustainable finance through the 2018 approval of a Guide for Environmental and Social Risk Management for financial institutions.

The Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and AFPs (SBS), an SBN member since 2013, issued key policies including the Regulation for Social and Environmental Risk Management (2015) and supported the development of Peru’s Green Bond Guide (2018).

The Central Bank of the Philippines (BSP) and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), both SBN members since 2013, are in the early stages of developing a national sustainable finance framework through awareness-raising and stakeholder engagement.
